Denver - A Canada goose that has been waddling around a Colorado city park for over a month with an arrow piercing through its chest has finally been captured by wildlife rescuers and taken to a veterinarian for medical attention.
The goose, who has been 'Quille', was first spotted Feb 12 in Washington Park and for almost six weeks the wild goose chase continued as Quille managed to evade his rescuers and their efforts to trap him.
The goose had reportedly been seen numerous times at Washington Park and neighboring Garland Park by residents of the community but he managed to remain elusive and avoided the good intentioned park visitors who also tried to catch the wounded Canadian visitor.
"We knew where she was for several weeks, but it was hard to catch her with all the people around," says Gabriele Braunschweiger, who volunteers with the Wild B.I.R.D. Rehabilitation Center in Denver. "Everyone tried to catch her and that made her skittish," reported KWGN Denver.
